SCEENE - EIP
Soil Carbon Enhancement for Excess Nutrient Elimination.
The SCEENE EIP is a 4½ year project, co funded by the European Commission and the Department for Agriculture, Food and the Marine.
It is based on the Loop Head peninsula, West Clare.
It is being led by local development group Loop Head Together CLG - and is focused on soil carbon enhancement, the reduction of nutrient run off, and saving on the need for chemical fertilisers, while trialling the potential for circular bio economy solutions.

Also working on this project, as the scientific lead, will be TUS -
’The Technological University of the Shannon’.
Their team will be working alongside experts from UCD and MTU
The project delivery will also be guided by the expert insight of a strong Operational Group of industry professionals.
