SCEENE EIP are in a position to reach out to farmers on the peninsula, for initial 'Expressions of Interest' around potential farmer participation in the project.

To express your interest, you simply need to fill out the relevant 'Expression of Interest' form.

SCEENE-EIP - (Soil Carbon Enhancement for the Elimination of Excess Nutrients). This project is co funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, and the European Commission, under the European Innovation Partnership. The project is to be solely based on the Loop Head Peninsula and, as the name suggests,  is focused on soil carbon enhancement and the reduction of nutrient run off; which should result in a reduction in the need for chemical fertilisers. The project will also be trialing the potential for circular bio economy solutions.
